An actual clown is going to be calling the shots, and they let it happen.

Donald Trump has given racists, bigots, and fascists a false legitimacy with his campaign. There have been countless incidents where he’s said and done things that are simply unacceptable, but far, far too many members of the republican party have not been prepared to condemn his behaviour, either because they believe him to be right, which makes them just as reprehensible, or for fear that they would make themselves a target of Trump’s supporters, which makes them cowardly for not condemning it in the first place. People have been whipped into a frenzy now, and holy shit, it is it frightening.
